SENIGALLIA – A conference, with the participation of the well-known researcher and popularizer Mario Tozzi, will mark the tenth anniversary of the serious flood that devastated the Velvet Beach in 2014. The initiative, which will be held on May 10th at the Gabbiano cinema in via Maierini, is organized by the GIS (Senigallia Entrepreneurs Group) and the Caritas Senigallia Foundation who have called the special guest and well-known face of TV.
Tozzi will participate in the conference “2014-2024, ten years since the flood. Doing business despite everything”, the starting point of which is this: the latest natural disasters (just eight after 3 May 2014 the disaster on 15 September 2022 occurred) have profoundly changed the way of doing business in the Senigallia area and valley. If the companies have demonstrated with their work and the reopenings (except for some cases of closure or cessation following the damage suffered) the desire to remain in this area which, despite everything, appears fragile and conditioned by some long-standing and complex critical issues.
A will also not to give up if you look at it from another perspective. And it is precisely here that the talent of the well-known presenter and leading researcher of the Cnr comes into play: Mario Tozzi will give new stimuli to entrepreneurs, thanks to his ability to be both scientific and empathetic with the public, as we are used to seeing it on TV. Focus: the management of climate change and flood risk (in the specific case of Senigallia) to build a culture that is not only that of emergency but above all of prevention.
