In the last episode of the thirty-fifth season of The Simpsons, Homer experiences the loss of a friend – who he realizes, however, that he doesn’t know enough. This is Lawrence Dalrymple, a regular customer of Moe’s tavern, present since the first season of the animated series. In the episode, titled Cremains of the Day and aired on April 21st in America, we see Homer dressed to the nines – definitely a bizarre exception – to attend the funeral of Lawrence, known as Larry The Barfly, together with Moe, Lenny and Carl.
