Cambiare Rotta and Osa organized a sit outside the television studios in Rome: according to the young people, the presenter was present at the clashes between the Jewish Brigade and the pro-Palestinian groups during the demonstration for the Liberation Day at Porta San Paolo

“Poreč let us go up.” There are around ten students from the Cambiare Rotta and Osa collectives who this morning organized a sit in in front of the La7 television studios, in Via Umberto Novaro in Rome. The young people asked to meet the journalist and television presenter David Parenzo, who according to them would have been present yesterday in Porta San Paolo during the clashes between the Jewish Brigade and the pro-Palestinian groups during the demonstration for Liberation Day.

“Threats and attacks. Porec, do you still want to give us lessons?”, ask the students outside the building, waving Palestinian flags and slogans like “Zionism is only violence. Now it is always Resistance”.

The collectives also attacked the host on social media, asking him to “condemn what happened and distance himself” from the clashes that occurred yesterday. Porec explained that yesterday he was at Porta San Paolo together with the chief rabbi and the president of the Jewish community of Rome to lay the wreath and that he would have “sued” those who accused him of having taken part in the tensions with the pro-Palestinian demonstrators.

In recent weeks Parenzo has also been challenged at Sapienza University, where he was invited to participate in a meeting with a group of students. On that occasion he was prevented from speaking.
