Why did it take me so long to announce my candidacy for the European elections? “What others say doesn’t interest me, I didn’t know, I thought about it a lot. In the end, I was convinced that I wanted to give them a better Italy and a better Europe. In reality, however, my daughters told me ‘dad, do something that keeps you at home more…’”. When exactly did he decide he wanted to take the field? “In the last few days, three or four days ago, we spoke via WhatsApp with Salvini and I told him that I would accept. He responded to me by saying that he was happy with my decision.” Will he be the leader in all the constituencies? “I don’t know, these are things that will be decided within the party. I can confirm, because Salvini said so, that I will be a candidate in all constituencies. What if I leave the army now? “Not for now, it is expected that I will be able to participate in a specific position, as required by the regulations, and then I will have to choose whether to leave or take leave. Did Minister Crosetto say that if I am elected it will be good for the army? “It’s his opinion whether he thinks it’s that good for him. I wouldn’t want to disappoint him though. Did he seem sarcastic? I leave the sarcasm to the minister. General Roberto Vannacci and the territoriality test of Un Giorno da Pecora on the knowledge of Europe. Guest of the Rai Radio1 broadcast, the new Northern League candidate for the next elections agreed to answer some questions on his knowledge of the reality that awaits him, if elected. General – asked Giorgio Lauro and Geppi Cucciari – do you know how many MEPs there are in total? “There are 76 Italians”. And how many do you think there are in total? “The total escapes me, I would say more or less 800”. There are 705. “Almost, okay.” What are the borders of Belgium, a country which hosts one of the seats of the European Parliament in Brussels? “By sight I would say Germany, with Luxembourg, Holland and the North Sea”. Stop? “I think so. And with France obviously…” Do you already have your electoral slogan ready? “Yes”. And which? “The courage to win”, commented Vannacci to Un Giorno da Pecora.
