Last week was marked by a wave of layoffs that saw the departure of numerous Superstars, including Xyon Quinn, Jinder Mahal, Von Wagner and Cameron Grimes, who announced his forced farewell personally, via a touching video. After confiding that he did not expect dismissal, especially given the words of an executive, the former North American Champion spoke of a rather edgy dynamic within the WWE backstage.
Either with Vince or with Hunter
During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Grimes spoke about the internal power struggle within WWE, which had a significant impact on many stars. Second Grimes, Triple H And Vince McMahonneedless to say, were the protagonists of that struggle. He wins tended to support their own group, which resulted in limited opportunities for those with Triple H. The result? Many difficulties for some Superstars to find their ‘place’ in the main roster.
“What happened, as soon as I was sent to the main roster, was the fight between the two. Hunter wasn’t in charge yet, but Vince, more or less, was. There was a battle going on between them. You were either a Hunter Guy or you were a Vince Guy. At the time, Vince was still in charge, and being one of Hunter’s men didn’t help you much at that time.”
Now Grimes he is looking for a new beginning, wishing him to return to the moon soon.
