This morning, along the SS18 near Capaccio Paestum, a serious road accident occurred involving a lorry and two cars, a Citroen and a Peugeot. The accident caused minor injuries to the driver of the Citroen, a 39 year old and his 59 year old father. The accident occurred when the Citroen was violently hit by the articulated lorry. The driver, having sensed the impending impact from the rear-view mirror, tried to avoid the collision, but was unable to completely prevent it. The vehicle ended up dangerously balanced on the ditch, on the other roadway.
The rescue
