It is the balance of the last ninety days on the road that goes from Montefiascone towards Bagnoregio and then arrives in Orvieto.
Due to the crossing of wild boars, particularly at night, in the area that extends from “Le Guardie” in Montefiascone to “Capraccia” in the municipality of Bagnoregio, road accidents have been frequent in recent times.
Accident on the Umbro-Casentinese
In the last three months there would have been about ten of them, due to the presence of these animals on the road.
Fortunately, the accidents did not cause serious injuries among motorists, but only a lot of damage to the cars involved in the collisions.
But it could have been much worse.
The areas where wild boars have been spotted most are “Le Guardie” in the municipality of Montefiascone and the areas of “Capraccia” and “Monterado” in Bagnoregio, also on the Umbro Casentinese.
The latest accident occurred on the evening of Monday 22 April when two cars collided due to the presence of a wild boar on the road.

A carabinieri patrol from the mobile radio branch of the Montefiascone company intervened on site together with the firefighters of the Gradoli detachment and 118.
Fortunately there were no serious injuries.
Other areas particularly subject to the presence of wild boars are the “Fondaccio” area on Verentana and the Commenda area.
