The demonstration for the April 25th in Milan it was extraordinary both for the great participation and for the democratic spirit that animated it. She felt the desire to respond to the aggressive and authoritarian choices of the right, whose now evident intention is to restrict freedoms. They want to erase the values of the Resistance, putting fascism and anti-fascism on the same level. Thus April 25th becomes a generic anniversary in honor of the fallen. Certainly the deaths are all serious and bitter, but the reasons why people die are not at all the same. The Milan event joins the dozens and dozens of similar initiatives throughout Italy. However, the Milanese mobilization has an extraordinary character, because Milan was the center of the National Liberation Committee and even today, April 25th in Piazza Duomo is a special day. The organization of the event is historically carried out by Anpi. But never before has there been such a conspicuous presence of movements and associations as this year.
