The Prefect of Fermo, Dr. Edoardo D’Alascio met this morning in the Prefecture with ASD Virtus Servigliano, a table tennis club, founded in 2021 in Servigliano and which arrived in the A1 series after winning seven championships on the court.
In the 2023/2024 season, Virtus Servigliano played in the A2 series championship for the first time and, as a freshman, immediately obtained promotion to the top series by beating Pescara on the last day of the championship last Saturday. The President of Virtus, Fabio Paci, thanked for the welcome initiative, a source of pride for the team, made up of captain Matteo Cerza, the Chinese Li Weimin, the Bulgarian Daniel Gaybakyan, the Nigerian Orok Etim Effiong and the talented Danilo Faso, number 2 in the world among under 13s. Virtus Servigliano is the only club from the Marche in the A1 series, a source of pride for the entire territory of the province of Fermo. In the next championship they will challenge prestigious clubs such as Messina, Cagliari, Carrara, Milan. During the meeting, the Prefect underlined the value of the sporting achievement which constitutes a source of pride and pride for the province; participation in the top championship – which has a national character in the Prefecture of Fermo Territorial Office of the Government – will constitute an important opportunity for the promotion of the provincial territory. The mayor of Servigliano, Marco Rotoni, the Team Manager, Michele Tarulli, the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Fermo, Col. Domenico Gino Troiani and the Provincial Commander of the Guardia di Finanza, Col. Massimiliano Bolognese, participated in the meeting.
