This morning the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco Company executed a precautionary order issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Nola, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Nola, against two brothers, residents of Massa di Somma.
The two are seriously accused of the crimes of possession and carrying in a public place of a common firearm, since, in the first days of April, in Massa di Somma, near a public housing complex, they allegedly exploded, with a pistol, a gunshot aimed at a car, on board which there was a person known to them, who remained unharmed. After the incident, the two brothers fled on a scooter.
It was the victim who asked the police for help, having fled after the shot exploded, fearing for his own safety. The investigative activities, started immediately after the event, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Nola, were conducted by the Carabinieri of the Operational Section of Torre del Greco and the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio station, and made it possible to promptly shed light on the exact dynamics of the facts, gathering serious indications of guilt against the suspects, thanks also to the testimonies provided by the victim’s family.
Those arrested, in consideration of the serious facts in dispute, were sent to prison, at the disposal of the AG. The measures carried out are precautionary measures, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and, as such, presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
