Rumors about the host of the Sanremo Festival 2025: Carlo Conti in Pole Position?

With Amadeus’ farewell, the big question remains open: who will host the next edition of the Sanremo Festival? Among the eligible names, Paolo Bonolis was one of the most discussed, but he promptly denied the rumors via Corriere della Sera, reiterating his commitment to another season of “Avanti un Altro” on Mediaset.

With Bonolis out of the picture, all eyes are now on Carlo Conti, who, despite showing some skepticism in tackling another Festival, hinted at the possibility of his return in a recent interview.

“I’ve done three Sanremo Festivals, one more fun than the other. What if I do another one? We’ll see. ‘Whoever wants to be happy, let him be, there is no certainty about tomorrow’, as one of my illustrious fellow citizens said. I say ‘never say never’, like any other program, let’s be clear,” Conti declared.

Despite his apparent reluctance, it seems that deep down the host is already considering the possibility. He also expressed his opinion regarding the format of the competition, praising Amadeus’ decision to eliminate eliminations, stressing that tension should not be the predominant element of the Festival.

Among the most interesting rumors, there was even talk of Mina as artistic director, while Antonella Clerici denied rumors about her return to the Ariston stage, underlining that no one has yet offered her the role.

Carlo Conti hosted three editions of the Sanremo Festival from 2015 to 2017, during which some of the most iconic songs of recent years were presented, such as “Grande Amore” by Il Volo and “Occidentali’s Karma” by Francesco Gabbani. It remains to be seen whether the host will agree to return to the Ariston stage for a fourth time, but one thing is certain: the wait is already high to find out who will be the face of the 2025 Sanremo Festival.
