The Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi, as reported by the Calcio E Finanza portal, he spoke on the sidelines of the “Il Foglio Sportivo a San Siro” event regarding the Italian stadiums that will host the 2032 European matches. Italy will host the continental event together with Turkey and will have 5 facilities available. Of these only three are safe, namely those of Milan, Rome and Turin. As explained by Minister Abodi, yesterday a meeting was held with representatives of Bologna regarding the updating of the administrative process of the new Dall’Ara, while by the end of the month meetings will be held with the Municipality of Florence and Fiorentina, Cagliari and Parma.
These are the words of the Minister: “The first hearing was held yesterday within the working group of the Interinstitutional Committee created for the EURO 2032 stadiums. Yesterday, together with Minister Giorgetti and representatives of the FICG, the Institute for Sports Credit , from Sace, Invimit, Cdp and Sport e Salute we listened to Bologna. At the center of the meeting was the update of the administrative process of the new Dall’Ara, the CEO Claudio Fenucci illustrated the economic framework, defined the timetable and described the technical project of the facility. For the Government the objective is to contribute in a significant and concrete way to the modernization of the stadium system and we will do so by evaluating in a very short time the possibility of establishing an equity fund, a real estate fund and fueling the system of guarantees with the reduction of interest. We are also evaluating, where necessary, the appointment of a commissioner and a rule that makes the administrative process for these infrastructures which are strategic for Italy even more fluid and efficient. By the end of the month we will meet the Municipality of Florence and Fiorentina, Cagliari and Parma.”
