Albenga. “My generation has not been able to convey to young people the same enthusiasm for participation in public life that we received in the past. I want to take part of this responsibility, but as mayor of Albenga I intend to do my part to change this trend. Young people must become an active part of local politics, especially in the processes that lead to the adoption of the acts that concern them most directly. I don’t want to promise solutions, but all my commitment to finding solutions together with them.” The mayoral candidate of the Albenga center-right Nicola Podio said this during the podcast “Albenga Deserves More”.

In the seventh episode of the new audio content launched by Podio in recent weeks, the topic of Albenga’s young people was addressed. During the episode, the mayoral candidate underlined: “Even before the major works and important investments, we must stop and listen to the Albenga kids. They, who live and know the city, know well what is missing and what has been missing in Albenga in recent years”.

“I don’t want to deceive anyone – added Podio -, but it is clear that the next administration will have to commit to finding the funds to create suitable environments for young people, such as a new football pitch, but also recreational spaces where they can socialise, study and spend time. time together. Time, planning and finding funds will be needed through participation in regional, national and European tenders”.

Ideas and projects included in the electoral manifesto of Moira Massari, candidate on the Forza Italia list in support of Podio’s candidacy and guest of the seventh episode of the podcast “Listening, involvement and participation will be the three fundamental points of my candidacy – said Massari during of the podcast -. Inclusion, with particular attention to children with disabilities, will be a key word in my action in the city council. As a citizen of Albenga and above all as a mother of two boys, I am happy to put my skills and commitment at the service of the community to build a city that is more attentive and inclusive towards young people”.
