The blitz of the anarchists in Cinecittà, between viale Giulio Agricola and via Tuscolana, where a large group of young people set fire to the area, bears the signature of the anarchists. blitz happened this nightaround 4 am on Wednesday 24 April 2024. The residents raised the alarm when they saw the flames in the streets of the area. During the blitz the anarchists moved to the middle of the street in viale Giulio Agricola three bins, then they set them on fire. The same fate befell a bell for collecting glass waste.
They then moved nearby, to the Cinecittà district, in the south-eastern quadrant of the capital. That’s where they completely set a car on fire and stormed the ATMs. They set fire to one ATM and a Postemat. Finally, they launched themselves onto the window of a branch of Banca Intesa Sanpaolo, damaging it. Before leaving the area, they wrote their signature on the walls, claiming responsibility for their action.

Investigations underway
In addition to the firefighters who intervened for extinguishing operations where necessary, officers arrived on site, both from the Flying Squad and from nearby police stations. The policemen were soon joined by the colleagues from the forensic police. The number of members of the anarchist group is not yet known, and none of the authors of the blitz have yet been identified. In the meantime the police investigate: it cannot be ruled out that some news may come from analyzing the video surveillance systems in the area.
