During the night, the first of the various awards that the NBA recognizes to some players for having distinguished themselves during the regular season was awarded. The recognition in question is the MIP (Most Improved Player) and the 76ers point guard won it Tyrese Maxey.
Crucial, in addition to the impact the player had following the trade involving his former teammate James Harden, were the statistics. Maxey recorded the career high under five items: points (25.9), rebounds (3.7), assists (6.2), steals (1.0) and triples (212).
On the Harden issue and how his contribution to the team has changed following his departure, he expressed himself personally:
I had to take different steps. During the offseason I didn’t know what the situation was going to be with James, so my job was to work on the pick-and-roll every day, work on passing, work on reads… Those little things excite me the most, because I don’t think in the last few years I couldn’t have made the plays I’m making this year

Still regarding the award, the #0 of the 76ers said he was very happy:
