Liguria, healthcare, Garibaldi (Pd): “Toti has problems with mathematics”

“In these hours Toti, in a video on social media, is claiming that the budget hole in healthcare of 63 million euros made up yesterday, with a cut of 35.5 million to the local health authorities, is in reality not a hole but actually of an investment, with more money for healthcare for citizens. Evidently his profile has been hacked or we are faced with a video generated by artificial intelligence. If it were really him, the question would be much more worrying: either Toti doesn’t know mathematics and does not know the difference between more and less in the budget, and it is a problem for those who are the President of the Region and the Councilor for the Budget, or do not know the difference between cutting funds and putting them in. Or Toti knows mathematics very well and in addition to cutting healthcare, it also makes fun of citizens, hoping they don’t notice the cuts.” So in a note the leader of the Democratic Party Luca Garibaldi.

“Telling a patient not to worry because the money he would need to respond to a health need this year has been moved to pay for last year’s services, and that it is not a cut, but an investment – he concludes Garibaldi -, is nothing more than a gigantic and indecent mockery. Which however will not work, given that it is clear to everyone, starting from the many patients waiting, that the cuts are there – he concludes – and that the Region is making them. “.
