Extraordinary maintenance of city roads starts from Lot 2 on the occasion of the G7 Health

Extraordinary maintenance of city roads will start from Lot 2 on the occasion of the G7 Health meeting scheduled for next October.

The Council today approved the technical-economic feasibility project and the assignment of the works (within the framework agreement) to the company that will carry out the works for approximately 404 thousand euros for the interventions on via XXIX Settembre (part), via Rupi di via XXIX Settembre (part), Lungomare Vanvitelli (part), via Conca (upper part).

The G7 Health will take place on 9, 10 and 11 October 2024 and for extraordinary maintenance interventions on some city roads the Marche Region had assigned an extraordinary contribution of €2,000,000 to the Municipality of Ancona.

Last February, the municipal council identified the areas subject to intervention by dividing the work into lots:

● LOT 1 – Extraordinary maintenance of via Marconi (part), via Marconi roundabouts and station roundabout;

● LOT 2 – Extraordinary maintenance via XXIX Settembre (part), via Rupi di via XXIX Settembre (part), Vanvitelli seafront (part), via Conca (upper part);

● LOT 3 – Extraordinary maintenance of the Lago Grande car park and pier access lane in Portonovo, making the Portonovo road safe;

● LOT 4 – Extraordinary maintenance and redevelopment of the main north bridge and south side bridge, safety measures for Piazza della Repubblica.

“Once the tender has been completed, we begin the path that will lead us to redevelop some parts of the city in relation to the G7 works. I thank the offices of the Department of Public Works who are doing their utmost to ensure timely execution of the works for their commitment” he stated the councilor for Public Works, Stefano Tombolini.
