In Guardavalle Superiore, the firefighters and the Saf unit saved a puppy dog that had fallen into a ravine about 50 meters deep.

GUARDAVALLE SUPERIORE (CATANZARO) – Among the impervious areas of Guardavalle Superiore, the Fire Brigade today, 22 April 2024, saved a puppy dog that fell into a ravine about 50 meters deep. The operation, made particularly challenging by the impervious nature of the terrain, lasted about five hours.
Here the fire brigade team of the Monasterace detachment, together with the precious support of the Saf (Alpine Fluvial Speleum) unit of the Catanzaro Command, gave life to the act of courage and dedication that warmed the hearts of all those who witnessed it. In fact, yesterday evening the puppy fell into a ravine about 50 meters deep.

The alarm was raised and help arrived on the scene. The firefighters of the Saf unit used speleo techniques and devices. They demonstrated their skill and courage. Deftly lowering himself into the impervious cliff. Clinging to the rocks with the strength of duty and the delicacy of those who know how to protect life, even the smallest and most defenseless one. And when they finally reached the little animal, it was a moment of joy. The puppy, small and trembling but in good health, was welcomed into the arms of his rescuers who handed him over to his owner.
