To make room for the Corsa Rosa, the hilly roads leading up to the basilica will be largely closed to traffic. It will therefore be more difficult than usual for Granata fans to reach Superga to commemorate the Invincibles.

Urbano Cairo is in the sights of the «Granada Resistances»., president of Toro as well as CEO of RCS Mediagroup, the company that publishes the Gazzetta dello Sport, the newspaper responsible for the organization of the Giro d’Italia. «Showing down those who challenge you is your biggest celebration» reads another banner, referring to the ultras of the Maratona curve who were recently banned. “We want another Pianelli” is the text of another banner, which remembers the Granata president in office in 1976, the year of Toro’s last championship. «Never accomplices of those who are taking everything away from us» finally, it is the post on the social page of the Granata Resisters, where the photos of the banners were published.
At the beginning of the month, Toro fans had asked to change the route of the first stage of the Giro “in order to avoid possible serious problems of public order”. This is the text contained in the letter they sent to the mayor of Turin, Stefano Lo Russo, to the governor of Piedmont, Alberto Cirio, and to the sports councilors of the region and municipality.
