Long weekend April 25th, sold out expected on the Ligurian Riviera

The long weekend of April 25th promises to be a great success for Liguria, in particular for the Riviera, ready to experience the first real spring holiday period: “We expect a full house in both the Ponente and Levante areas – explains the president of Liguria Region – The hope is that the weather, as in recent weeks, will be good: many tourists will wait until the last moment to book, but the classic spring destinations of Liguria, once again, are preparing to record important numbers. The city of Genoa is also doing well, continuing to have extraordinary results, with currently around 75% of hotel rooms booked.”

A weekend that will attract mainly Italian tourists to Liguria, and which follows a weekend, that of 13 and 14 April, which saw a real anticipation of summer, with sold out in the Cinque Terre and over 90% occupancy in the localities around, both on the coast and inland, and numerous presences in the Tigullio and in the Riviera di Ponente.

“We expect a 2024 with large numbers – continues the president –, after a record 2023, in which the sector grew both in terms of arrivals and presences, with over 5 million 200 thousand people arriving in our region for more than 16 million presences from January to December, respectively 5.72 and 3.5% more than in 2022. Important numbers also for the hinterland, which recorded 7.33% more in terms of arrivals and 1.39 regarding attendance”.

“After the excellent results obtained at Easter, we also count on continuing to reap the fruits of the work we have done in recent months in terms of promoting Liguria for the long weekend of April 25th, which only involves the Italian market. I hope that the weather is benevolent for the joy of everyone: operators and tourists”, concludes the Tourism Councilor of the Liguria Region.
