Serious accident this morning, Friday 3 May, in Roccamalatina di Guiglia, on the Modena Apennines. An eight year old boy it was hit by a car: His conditions are serious.
According to an initial reconstruction, the accident occurred shortly after 6 this morning in via D’Azeglio, at number 562: the child was crossing the road, presumably while he was on his way to school.
Once the alarm was raised, the 118 health workers immediately responded to the scene with a medical vehicle and an ambulance. The air ambulance also arrived on site, landing not far away and taking the child to hospital.Maggiore hospital in Bologna. The child’s condition, as far as we know, immediately appeared very serious but fortunately his life was not in danger.

The Carabinieri and the police are at the scene of the accident to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the events. The serious accident occurred in the town, near the town bar along Via D’Azeglio (provincial 623): the road was closed to traffic to allow for rescue and investigations.
According to initial information, there were two people on board the car that hit the child, a black BMW SUV: a 46-year-old with his 16-year-old daughter.
