The long-awaited spring weekends for a few days off they will cost Italians around 10.5% more than last year due to the strong increases in prices and tariffs throughout the tourism and transport sectors, with an increase of total expenditure of 780 million euros on 2023. The increases affect the entire tourism sectorcome on holiday packages which mark +8.2% on an annual basis at hotel rates which recorded +6.9% in housing other structures (b&b, holiday homes, etc.) which increased by +8.4% over the year.
Prohibitive to move around airplane: national flights increasing by 19.1% compared to 2023, European flights by 16.5%, international flights +7.3%. It won’t be any better for those who choose the train: tickets rise by 8%, while buses and coaches rise by 4%. Who will move in car will have to deal with the latest fuel increases: green fuel has increased by +8.3% since the beginning of the year, with a full tank costing around 7.5 euros more”.
