“Addictions: gambling addiction” is the topic that in recent days was the cornerstone of a training meeting with the children of the “Boccardi-Tiberio” institute in Termoli.organized by the association “La Casa dei Diritti”.
Also an exceptional teacher was Francesco Caruso, legal trustee of the Italian Footballers’ Association (Aic), who spoke to the boys about the gambling addiction in football, analyzing the recent cases that have emerged in Serie Alike that of Nicolò Fagioli, the first footballer to reveal that he is a gambling addict.
A topic that greatly affected the many students present and in connection with the school, who carefully followed the reconstruction of a story, which certainly represents “novelty” also in the field of sports justice.
In addition to having addressed the regulatory part, provided for by the Sports Justice Code, in the case of professional members who bet on sporting events, Caruso reiterated to the younger people the need to pay attention to this type of addiction, which can affect anyone, at any level, regardless of economic availability.
“Undoubtedly the role of sporting institutions, including football ones, must continue to be central and supportive in sporting, but also psychological, development for all those children who choose to dedicate themselves to sport” concluded the legal trustee of the AIC.
