Great results for many bowls players from the province of Pesaro-Urbino who achieved important podiums last weekend in two national competitions held in the province of Macerata. On Saturday 13th, a beautiful victory for Chiara Gasperini (Lucrezia, in the photo) who won the Fontespina in Rosa Trophy in Civitanova Marche, an important competition for athletes of all categories with 81 participants. Gasperini, already European champion, even won the final 12-0 against Sara Codoni from Macerata, while another athlete from the province of Pesaro placed third, the excellent Benedetta Necchi (San Cristoforo Fano), a young athlete clearly improving, which in the semi-final had made life difficult for Gasperini. Then, on Sunday, the important Golden Shoe Trophy women’s Major race was scheduled in Morrovalle. The world junior champion Ginevra Cannuli (Metaurense) took third place in the AB category race. In the competition for CD category players, however, second place went to Fedora Simoncelli (Metaurense) and third place to Elisa Valenti (San Cristoforo Fano).
