A championship played and dominated far and wide. Asd Campese mathematically won the third category Livorno group championship with 3 games to spare. One victory was enough, on Wednesday 17 April at the “Teseo Tesei” sports center in Campo nell’Elba, in the recovery match of the 22nd matchday against Romaiano; a match easily won by two goals to zero, scored by the striker Davide De Luca who thus opened the celebrations of the people of Campania and beyond. A football result that does honor to the whole island, which next season will have another team in the second category. It should be remembered that last January 31st, the Campanian club won the third category Tuscan Cup in the Livorno group by beating Collesalvetti 2-1 in the final, a trophy that was missing for 28 years in Marina di Campo. The yellow and black team has the best attack with 67 goals and the best defense in the competition with only 18 goals conceded. Congratulations for this extraordinary year are addressed to Mr. Gianni Gassinelli, former player and captain of the island team, who managed to build a strong and cohesive group.
