The second global meeting of the first European digital platform at the Maxxi Museum in Rome

A rapidly expanding sector at a European level, with a turnover of 169 million euros in 2023, 192 active companies and a car fleet of 3,456 units. And as far as Italy is concerned, the data speaks of a turnover of 45 million euros with around 1000 cars. The numbers coming from Driverso’s Analysis Lab concern the high-end car hiring market on the continent and also report an average cost per rental of 2,916 euros for 58,074 transactions in the year.

The average duration of the contracts was 5.4 days for 313,600 days in total, with average revenues on the single vehicle amounting to 49 thousand euros. But above all there is an expectation of significant growth: the sector’s turnover is expected to reach 195 million euros already at the end of this year, and then gradually rise to the 714 million expected in 2030. The potential market basin, however, it is enormous, given that the turnover of luxury travel is currently calculated at 1,380 billion euros.

Around 40 of these companies, which represent the best of the high-end car hiring offer and respect predefined quality standards, operate on Driverso, the first European digital platform, born in Italy, for premium car rental. The online aggregator offers hundreds of vehicles from all the most prestigious brands, supplied by players active in 10 countries (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Monaco, United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland).

Dozens of companies, experts, qualified stakeholders and enthusiasts from all over Europe met today in the evocative setting of the Maxxi Museum in Rome for the second global meeting of Driverso, from which numbers, scenarios and trends emerged of an automotive branch that crosses the themes of luxury, lifestyle, the digital economy and above all the ever-changing habits of tourist consumption. The service, in fact, is aimed above all at a target of customers linked to leisure and looking for an exclusive, completely customized travel and mobility experience.

During the day at Maxxi, experts of the caliber of Ryan Sarver, Partner Redpoints Ventures and above all former director of the Twitter platform, Massimiliano Archiapatti, CEO of Hertz Italy, Jasmine Boni-Ball, Executive assistant of ‘Tuscany Now and More’, Ferruccio Rossi, General Director of Sanlorenzo Yacht, Leopoldo Gasbarro, director of Wall Street Italia, and Maurizio Iperti, CEO of LoJack.
