Exhibition on Leonardo, half price for compulsory schools

CROTONE – Today, Friday 19 April, the municipal council decided on a contribution of 10 thousand euros to stimulate the participation of schools in the exhibition on Leonardo Da Vinci underway in the rooms of the Pitagora Museum, organized by the Jobel consortium. “Since the contribution is aimed exclusively at encouraging the participation of compulsory school students in the city of Crotone” establishes the provision, the Jobel consortium will have to “practice, in favor of all the aforementioned beneficiaries, a discount of at least fifty percent on the price of the entrance ticket compared to that ordinarily charged to the public”.

“The exhibition constitutes one of the most important events of the Crotone spring cultural season, increasingly qualifying the city of Crotone as a cultural tourist destination”, reports the resolution of the municipal executive by the mayor Enzo Voce. Furthermore, he continues, “the adoption of measures aimed at encouraging student participation can contribute to combating educational poverty and improving the quality of education, supporting the educational and training role of the school, with a view to close collaboration between the educational institutions and the municipal administration and third sector bodies”.

The exhibition, inaugurated on March 22nd, will be available to visitors until May 6th. ‘Leonardo Da Vinci 3D’ (this is the title of the exhibition), an exciting journey into the life and works of the genius through dynamic narration and digital magic, tells of a challenge to the laws of physics, time and space, a experience that catapults the visitor into the extraordinary mind of Leonardo and his daring evolutions. A highly technological multi-projection system capable of offering an educational and entertaining experience, reflects Leonardo’s futuristic spirit.
