On the morning of Tuesday 16 April, inside the bar attached to the Hotel Ramandolo in via Forni di Sotto, 2 young people were reported to be extremely harassing towards both the manager and the patrons present there due certainly to the refusal that the banker had asked them to serve them other alcoholic beverages considering that they were clearly already impaired by the excessive intake of alcoholic beverages.
2 police officers rushed to the scene to try to resolve the disturbance that had arisen.
At the sight of the policemen, one of the two subjects, in a more vehement manner than the other, immediately assumed a rebellious attitude, insulting the officers, not weakening his conduct in the face of the policemen’s just requests to stop the disturbance, going so far as to attack with progressively more threatening and very serious tones, in particular a policeman, trying to get to a physical confrontation by getting ever closer almost face to face, forcing the operators to intervene energetically, immobilizing him to avoid more serious consequences.
The second man opposed the intervention against his friend by trying to get between the workers, in a crescendo of threat, which persisted during the entire phase of accompaniment and stay in the Flying Squad offices, conduct which led to the arrest of the two young people for the crime of Resisting a Public Official, a free complaint for the crime of Contempt towards a Public Official and the challenge to the administrative sanction of disorderly drunkenness.
The two arrested men, both Italians aged 21 and 23, already known to the police, were presented at the Court of Udine the following day for the validation of the arrest measure, confirmed by the Judge who ordered that the two men be released pending trial.
