Port of Naples accident, 30 injured in collision between Caremar ship and docks at Molo Beverello

Accident at Port of Naples, where a ship coming from Capri, of the Caremar shipping company, collided with the docks of Molo Beverello due to strong winds and rough seas due to bad weather. At least 30 people were injured, according to initial information, but the majority had minor bruises. These would be predominantly yellow and green codes.

There are around thirty people, none in code red, all in code yellow or green, injured in the accident which occurred in the port of Naples where the Caremar ship Isola di Procida arriving from Capri hit a quay at Molo Beverello. There were several hundred passengers on board, including many foreigners. Several injured people are currently being cared for by 118, some have been transported to the nearest hospitals. At the moment of impact, upon arrival at the port, the passengers were almost all standing and would have fallen due to the violent impact.
