Meeting with Councilor Satta: the declarations of Confagricoltura Sardegna – greater attention to investments and needs of businesses and supply chains to encourage growth and competitiveness

Cagliari, 18 April 2024 – “The island’s agricultural sector is going through a particularly difficult moment, due to international dynamics and local critical issues which are putting tens of thousands of businesses in extreme difficulty. We remembered this today during the first meeting between the Councilor for Agriculture, Gianfranco Satta, and the trade associations and the world of cooperation”.

Thus the president of Confagricoltura Sardegna, Paolo Mele, who recalled how important it is to start a path of collaboration between institutions and the agricultural sector. “The Sardinia Region must ensure – observed Mele – greater attention to the needs of businesses, putting the role of the representatives of recognized organizations back at the center of institutional discussion: bearers of the needs of the different production realities of the countryside world. At the same time, it is essential to ensure due attention towards business investments, since only with targeted and reasoned interventions can growth and competitiveness be promoted. There is still a lot to work on, and as an agricultural association we are ready to do our full part immediately”, concluded the president of Confagricoltura Sardegna, Paolo Mele.
