Junior Achievement, Malignani from Cervignano wins the Fvg final

The project of the students of Malignani of Cervignano was awarded.

Mpb, an innovative spherical “floating” devicecapable of measuring in real time L’solar radiation, water quality and temperaturewith various applications, from private swimming pools to large bodies of water, is the product with which the Malignani of Cervignano he won the competition for Fvg Business in Actionpromoted by Junior Achievement and, in the region, by the Pordenone-Udine Chamber of Commerce.

The kids from the Malignani Institute, with a presentation in Italian and English, illustrated the winning idea, product of the mini-business called “Wair” and created thanks also to the help of the teachers Paola Zanon and Nicoletta Melnic and the “dream coach” Simone Baldin of the Taghleef Industries company of San Giorgio di Nogaro.

Congratulations to the winning team came from the general secretary of the Chamber of Commerce Maria Lucia Pilutti and from the jury, which has evaluated all the business projects and then decided on the winnerand formed by Veronica Cervini, head of Innovation and Sustainable Development of the Chamber of Commerce, Luca Rossi, president of the Cciaa Youth Entrepreneurship Committee, Luisella Bairo of the Regional School Office and Stefano Lena of Schneider Electric.

“Mpb – explained the Malignani boys – was thought of as one innovative, simple and accessible tool for everyone which measures solar radiation, water quality and temperature in real time. And it is precisely here that we find one of the innovations brought by MPB: the possibility of operating ininterface of the two air-water matrices in fact, it introduces an absolute novelty in the sector. Mpf is capable of simultaneously analyze UVA and UVB radiation present in the atmosphere, the pH and the temperature of the water”.

Finalists together with them, the students of Zanonwho created the SiSteam mini-business, for a product that founded the company and product precisely on Steam skills (i.e., in a nutshell, the technical-scientific ones, important above all in terms of gender equality). “We have made gods Immersive books for creative children – the boys explained –, with the aim of make Steam subjects more accessible and engaging for children, and in particular for girls aged 5 to 7. Our books stimulate the curiosity and enthusiasm of young minds, bringing them closer to the world of science, of technology, engineering, art and mathematics, through the narration of the story of some great heroines in these fields, followed by stimulating games from which to learn while having fun”.

Certificates of participation were given to all participants, who will now be able to apply for the European competition anyway presenting their project via a video, which will then be voted on by the web’s “popular jury”. The winners of the Malignans they will now compete for the national final in Parma at the end of Mayin view of the European final scheduled in Catania from 2 to 4 July.

The participating schools from Friuli in today’s regional final were, in addition to Istituto Zanon from Udine (with multiple projects) and Malignani from Cervignano: theIis Linussio of Codroipo (with multiple projects), ISIS Bachman of TarvisioISIS Mattei-Plotzner of Latisana.
