The National Union of Municipalities, Mountain Authorities (Uncem) has started a collection of information to track a map of the telephone signal in mountain areas. “Where sending messages, surfing, calling is impossible”: even today, in 2024, many citizens, especially in municipalities or mountain hamlets, are technologically “isolated”. Against the “digital divide”, therefore, Uncem invites you to fill out the form LINK.
“The coverage of TV and mobile telephony signals – claims Uncem in a press note – must be a central theme in the electoral campaign for the European elections. It will certainly be the case for the Municipalities voting, with the mayoral candidates asking for new interventions from the telephone operators and Rai. There is a need for investments, including public ones, to cover territories not served by signals. Uncem has been asking for them for years also to guarantee safety for the territories and for those who move on the slopes for various reasons. Uncem has relaunched the possibility of transmitting reports of areas where telephones do not have reception”.
