Since this morning, Turin and its province have been lashed by strong winds which had been widely predicted by the forecasts, after the record heat of the weekend. For the moment there are no serious situations reported in the southern belt, apart from a few overturned waste bins and a few broken branches. An intervention by the firefighters is underway on the hill between Turin and Moncalieri, along Strada Antica di Revigliasco, due to unsafe trees that could end up on the road and cause serious problems for cars in transit. For this reason the route will probably be closed until the necessary safety conditions return. The firefighters are in action in various areas to control not only unsafe trees but also small damage to condominiums.
