Tesanovic at Marseille, what future for the AN Brescia goalkeeper?

We had anticipated the news for a few weeks, now we can give it the seal of officialdom.

Petar Tesanovic, born in 1998, will be the next goalkeeper for CN Marseille. The Montenegrin accepted the monstrous offer presented to him by the French club and will conclude his adventure in Brescia at the end of the championship.

Having arrived in Lombardy in the summer of 2021 from Jadran Herceg Novi Tesanovic has grown with impressive consistency to become one of the best goalkeepers on the international scene and to transform, on some occasions, into an insurmountable wall that becomes almost impossible to penetrate.

The penalty saved by Fondelli in the decisive series of five-metre shots that gave the Lions the Italian Cup could be the seal on his Italian adventure which ended with the historic conquest of a trophy against the battleship Pro Recco.

The departure of the number one now opens the discussion regarding his succession. Sunday’s victory consolidates the goodness of the choices made by the club last summer and the desire to continue with a plan that can guarantee a return to very high levels in the medium term.

At the moment the only certainty seems to be that of the return to base of Tommaso Baggi Necchi who is performing admirably with the Brescia Waterpolo cap in the A2 series championship.

It remains to be decided whether the 2003 class will already be launched as the first goalkeeper or whether the club will choose a profile already in possession of international experience to accompany him to his definitive consecration.
