For days there has been nothing but talk about Amadeus’s alleged farewell to Rai. Today, however, a sort of official announcement has arrived, from a person who knows him better than anyone else. Not only that, but he himself would be about to say goodbye to Viale Mazzini.

According to the latest rumours, the farewell to Rai of the host of last Sanremo and Affari Tui would now be a done deal, and the official announcement should arrive in a few days, if not hours. Amadeus would be ready to land on Nove, following the example of Fabio Fazio and Luciana Littizzetto with their Che tempo che fa. The Warner Bros Discovery channel would therefore have managed to score a coup, winning one of the spearheads of Italian public television.
Of course we still use the conditional, waiting for the official press release, but there is little doubt that the Veronese presenter will soon say goodbye to Rai. It seems that Amadeus, according to what Corriere della Sera writes, is particularly annoyed by the requests received before the last Festival: not only would they have tried to place Mogol alongside him as artistic director, but also to force him to have Hoara Borselli as a guest and Povia as a competitor.
Fortunately, the host managed to avoid these requests, but this exacerbated his discomfort. To this would then be added what happened in the following weeks, that is lack of autonomy in the management of programs and also the request of Rai to sign the renewal of its contract many months in advanceexpiring in August.

Today, between the serious and the facetious, Fiorello dropped the bomb on Viva Rai Due: “Amadeus leaves RAI and moves to Nove” exclaimed the showman, leaving Biggio and Casciari stunned. It could certainly be a joke from Rosario, but it should be considered that the host has been a friend of his colleague for many decades and has a very close relationship with him. Not only that, but according to rumors that are circulating more and more insistently, even Fiorello himself should be added to the now large group of TV characters who arrive at Nove.

Naturally the person concerned was quick to deny it: “No one called me, no one made me offers, at the moment I’m on the sofa” his words, but it is plausible that he may be in the early stages of the negotiation and cannot or does not want to talk about it much. Next week Amadeus, who has already spoken with CEO Roberto Sergio, is expected to meet with general director Giampaolo Rossi but according to multiple sources it would be simply a formal appointment to verbalize the decision already made by the artist.
But who could replace him at the helm of the two important Rai programs? Carlo Conti seems the most likely replacement for Sanremo, while Stefano De Martino could arrive at Affari Tuoi, thus making the big leap on the public TV flagship.
