The development team presented update 4.6 for Genshin Impact a few hours ago, a title available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS/Android mobile devices and PC. This update will be downloadable starting from April 24, 2024.
After the Fontaine crisis, the fourth Nether Herald is finally ready to meet us again both as an enlistable member and as a powerful weekly boss. More and more surprises continue to appear in Teyvat.
A vast and ancient sunken empire that flourished and was destroyed before the founding of the Court of Fontaine has finally revealed itself in the Sea of Ancient Times. Meanwhile, Arataki Itto and Dvorak will liven up all of Inazuma with a music festival and concert tour.
The “maid” and the “father”
In Fontaine’s main story, Harlequin’s entrance onto the scene left its mark without him even showing his hand, maintaining the balance between his figure as an ally and that of an adversary. During version 4.6, we will be able to discover more about the power he possesses, what roles he will play and the past that made her what she is today.
As the fourth Nether Herald, Harlequin the “Maid” demonstrates impressive strength in combat through her use of the Pyro element, the spear, and a special mechanic called “Life Bond.” First found in some Nether Operatives and certain weapon effects in Fontaine, the Lifelink effect remains on its targets and prevents them from healing as long as the victim receives the same amount of healing as the Lifelink. But Harlequin is able to apply Lifelink on herself to strengthen his attacks.
Once Harlequin becomes a party member, learning to combine Lifelink with his Elemental Ability and Elemental Riot is critical to surviving and maintaining an effective offensive tempo. When Harlequin has a Lifelink equal to or greater than a certain percentage of his health bar, he enters the Red Deathmask state, converting his normal, charged, and dive attacks into unaffected Pyro damage and consuming a portion of his Current Lifelink to increase the damage dealt by his normal attacks and reduce the cooldown of the elemental ability.
The latter allows you to apply Blood Debt Directives and inflict damage on multiple targets. Blood Debt Directives can be absorbed to increase Lifelink when using a Charged Attack or heal yourself when unleashing Elemental Blaze. Furthermore, due to his unique talent, using Elemental Blaze is Harlequin’s only way to heal himself during combat.

To the south-east of Porto Romaritime there is a small village called “Petrichor”. Ruled by King Remus, Remuria was mysteriously forgotten by history, long before the founding of the Court of Fontaine.
However, lately strange phenomena have started to occur in Petrichor. Under the guidance of a talking cat, we will explore the sunken castle and dive into a wonderful area full of life, the Sea of Ancient Times, in the depths of the sea to reveal the truth behind the fall of this kingdom. There will also be a mysterious, fantastic-looking dragon waiting for you silently.

On Watatsumi Island in Inazuma, a musical tour organized by Arataki Itto and Dvorak is about to take place. This tour, called “Rainbow Tour de Force of the Wonders of Arataki the Rocker” and honoring a brave cub who saves the lives of countless creatures on the battlefield, will shake everything with the power of his rock ‘n’ roll! This passion will be staged on stage, in what will be 3 main preparation phases, in which you will have to play different instruments of your choice, collect objects and restore the melodies by inserting the missing notes.
Festival attendees will also have the chance to receive an entirely new instrument, the Night Breeze Horn, and watch Itto perform in person! In keeping with the spirit of rock, the Cacciavento: Seekers and Strategies event is available again in Mondstadt with an updated game mode. The beloved hide and seek game with Rebels and Hunters will see the introduction of the Surveillance Zone, where captured Rebels will be exiled for a short period of time, and Signalers to be repaired as a new target for the Rebels.
