5.8% of Ligurians give up treatment for economic reasons – Primocanale.it

GENOA – Liguria is in fourth place in the ranking of Italian regions and autonomous provinces with the fewest families giving up healthcare services for economic reasons: in 2022 the percentage of Ligurian families who were unable to use the services normally provided by the healthcare system was equal to 5.8% compared to the national average of 7%.

This was revealed by the Gimbe Foundation by analyzing the latest available ISTAT and CNEL data. Only the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the Campaniaboth at 4.7% and the Molise at 5.6%, they did better than Liguria, ahead of regions such as Emilia Romagna, Valle d’Aosta and Veneto, all at 6.4%, Lombardy and Tuscany both at 6.8%, Piedmont at 9.6 % and Sardinia at 12.3% both at the bottom of the ranking.

In Liguria the annual expense ‘out-of-pocket’, out of pocket, of families for health in 2022 was equal to 1,446 euros with a +11.3% compared to the previous year in which it was equal to 1,299 euros, above the national average of 1,362 euros and in line with the North West average of 1,447 euros.
