Turin embraces the Giro and the Giro celebrates Turin, its history and its excellence. The winner of the first stage of the race – the start is scheduled for Saturday at 1.45pm from the Reggia di Venaria – will wear the pink shirt with a grenade insert, a tribute to Grande Torino on the 75th anniversary of the Superga tragedy.
