Thoughts out loud about a negative trend for a team that risks finding itself out of everything with just over a month to go before the end of the football season

There Capital in football terms, is very particular for the moods that are experienced in Derby on both sides: blue and white and yellow and red.
And the controversies hey bad moodsderived from the defeat in the derby, today they are all on the Lazio side who lost the match that the fans consider more important than the championship… if not the entire season, cups included.
Tudorwe know it he took over the running this year from Mister Sarri at a very delicate moment. The former Biancoceleste coachevidently, “urged” by the attitudes of his players, he pulled out all the stops because, probably, many of them rthey emanated in the opposite direction to the direction he indicatedor, they didn’t row at all.
And in this delicate moment, however, a decision had to be made that it couldn’t have been to stop Mister Sarri by making him stay in the capital to chase away some players (this is usually done at the end of the season) so the only solution, also given the surrender of a Sarri who no longer felt the trust of his team, could only be to choose a coach who could continue for the next season too season.
The other solution could have been to stay with Martusciello until June and calmly look for the new coach but perhaps, we immediately thought of a more esteemed name on paper, however try to shake up the environment and especially the team, in view of one Italian Cup semi-final that there was to play and that he represented for the Biancocelesti the only gateway to the European cups for next year.
We use the verb “represent” conjugated in the past because today this possibility also seems to have vanishedgiven that the first Italian cup match ended 2-0 for the Juventus players who, among other things, have a very solid defense, so it is difficult to think that Lazio can prevail in the return match… but the ball, as they say, is round, so anything can happen.
Although, reality brings us back down to earthbecause if Juve has a massive defenseon this other side Lazio shoot very little on goal. And so the calculations are easy to do… but as we said, hope must always be the last to die.
It’s that damned thing negative trendfrom every point of view, that Lazio this year has taken from the beginning of the season to not make the fans dream too much so they can no longer even hope for a stroke of luck in a single match.
And now we expect that a revolution has somehow already begun and someone will leave while others arrive. And here is the other problem, often claimed by fans and sports commentators and journalists, which is linked to corporate choices in terms of the market.
We know that Mister Sarri would have wanted different players and he owed those that were made available to him forcefully adapt to his way of playing with the result that today we cannot blame the former Biancoceleste coach for an “indecent” season, because at least he has the strong alibi of not having chosen many of the players he coached this year.
Just as we know that the SS Lazio is from Lotito who is the majority among the members (they are his approximately 66.6% of the shares) and he will always be the one to decide the line to take in the corporate field, even more so for the investments to be made.
This fact is a fundamental element because over the years there has been talk several times about urging Lotito to sell even by making very few subscriptions, with the hope that he would sell.
This just proved that today the companies are not held up by the number of tickets sold, individually or in the form of seasonal and/or periodic packages but are held by other economic-financial dynamics that refer to sponsor (not just those imprinted on a shirt or other sportswear) e television rights and maybe other legitimate transversal economic-financial dynamics that we “mere mortals” are not aware of.
Furthermore, SS Lazio enjoys excellent financial health from an economic and financial point of view and therefore it is unthinkable to wage “war” against those who are in the black in this sense.
Must become aware of this reality which does not mean not criticize the company’s choices in terms of investments in the purchase of players and coaches but understand that SS Lazio, being led by those who understand budgets, will always be unassailable.
There are also those who assumed that it would have been better to fail in the 2000s and start over but we know what happened at the time due to a failure that was almost expected and which was foiled, fortunately, by Lotito himself.
This certainly does not exempt the current owner of SS Lazio from his responsibilities that he himself has for anonymous championships even when he would have had the possibility of attempting to make that leap in quality, investing the income received from national trophies won and participation in European cups; or when she could have bringing men who are symbols of Lazio’s history into societyinstead of placing them on the margins of it.
Having said all this, coming back down to earth, the only ones solutions for which we could see Lotito pass the buckthey could be those linked to a dizzying decline in company shares so it would be better to get rid of the “toy” before it can fail, which is unthinkable given his accounting and investment skills, who never bites off more than he can chew and which is something that the majority of fans perhaps would never want occurred (let’s talk about failure); or the one for which the Arab or the American arrives, You decide, with a lot of money who fell in love with the capital and the history of Lazio and they decide to make the current Biancoceleste owner smile big.
But perhaps this solution would not be really feasible either, for several reasons: the first is that it is difficult for anyone to come and invest in the capital (if anything large investors invest in northern Italy); second why Lotito has said several times that he wants to leave SS Lazio to his son.
In short, there are no other solutions in sight, if we consider a change at the head of SS Lazio.
So, this situation will still persist criticizing is legitimatebecause in a democracy expressing one’s thoughts even if this disagrees with a specific line taken, as in this case, by the head of the Lazio sports club, is still allowed but thinking of escalating criticism to the point of turning it into threats, as has already happened in the past towards Lotito, players and coaches, becomes detrimental to the entire environment and to the history of Lazio itself.
Coaches pass, players pass and presidents pass, for one reason or another…What remains is the flagand the mythAnd the love for something that goes far beyond the material aspect.
One thing is certain, SS Lazio today seriously risks finding itself out of everything with just over a month to go before the end of the football season but his fans don’t deserve it, who this year have always made their presence felt at home and away and this, beyond the club and the coach, The players who go onto the pitch for every match should understand this even more and demonstrate, at least in their commitment, that they are ready to fight tooth and nail until June.
Then, no one expects, even if it would be wonderful, to have the lions of the first Lazio scudetto of ’73/’74 or those of “-9” from the ’86/’87 season…those those were the times of myths…a whole different story in terms of character, dedication to hard work and the desire to give 100% on the pitch.
