SERIES B RESULTS: COMO RETAINS SECOND PLACE!
Other important verdicts for the Serie B results on the Saturday of the thirty-second day. The big match Catanzaro Como certainly stands out, which saw a 1-2 comeback victory for the guests from Como, which is why now in the Serie B standings we find Como in second place with 61 points, who have once again put Cremonese behind who had taken second place with yesterday’s advance. Palermo and Sampdoria drew with a nice 2-2, at the moment they would both be in the playoff zone even if the competition is strong, especially for the Dorians, who will have to watch their backs also thanks to Cittadella, who won with a nice 0- 2 the always difficult Reggiana pitch. BRESCIA WINS!
A Saturday afternoon so far characterized by draws as far as i Serie B results. League leaders Parma also drew, but did not go beyond a good 0-0 away to Sudtirol, who for their part took a good step towards the goal of salvation. 1-1 draw in an even more delicate match, that is Spezia Lecco: half a misstep for the Ligurians, while for the Lombards bringing up the rear the X sign could be of little use. Another draw in a fighting match is the 2-2 in FeralpiSalò Cosenza, two other teams that will still have to fight to save themselves.
Brescia wins instead, beating Pisa 3-1 in a very significant match for the playoff fight in the Serie B standings, which now sees the Rondinelle at 45 points and certainly closer to the goal of the post-season. It’s the exception, given that Ternana Modena ended 0-0 instead. Now, however, there isn’t even time to take a breath, since the other three Saturday matches for the Serie B results will begin at 4.15pm: what will happen in Catanzaro Como, Palermo Sampdoria and Reggiana Cittadella? IT BEGINS!
We have arrived at the start of this intense Saturday dedicated to Serie B results. So let’s take a look at what the playoff grid looked like entering the 32nd day, i.e. with the teams that played the same number of games: after Easter Monday, Parma would still be in Serie A with victory in the cadet championship, Como would have made the decisive overtaking to avoid the playoffs while Venezia, Cremonese, Catanzaro, Palermo, Sampdoria and Brescia would go to the play-offs. Lagunari and Grigiorossi would be directly in the semi-finals; in the first round we would instead have the challenges of Catanzaro Brescia and Palermo Sampdoria.
Curiously, this match is played today; then the winner of the first match would face Cremonese while Venezia would have to deal with one of the rosanero and blucerchiati. A really interesting picture but which, as already seen, can change even with a single goal because some teams are really there in very few points. For the moment, all we have to do is sit back and evaluate together what the pitches will tell us. FOR SALVATION
In addressing the overview of the Serie B results we talked about the race for direct promotion and the playoffs, but now we need to focus on the extraordinary fight for survival which is still completely open. Having returned to scoring points, Lecco still seems out of the running: the Bluceceleste team in fact finds itself 10 points away from the possibility of playing the playout and 12 from direct salvation, there are 21 available and that is one less than Lecco has done in the 31 days played, it is therefore clear that at this moment mathematics and statistics condemn the newly promoted team.
Feralpisalò, however, has returned to hope thanks to Cremona’s blitz: as mentioned, now the Garda Lions have to recover two points for the play-off and 4 to save themselves immediately, then Cosenza returns to risk, playing against Feralpisalò and not The position of Spezia and Ternana is absolutely comforting, as they would play the playout between themselves today but also risk immediate relegation. Then pay attention to the position of Cittadella, Sudtirol and Modena: three teams chasing the playoffs, but which could be sucked down especially if the negative trend continues. Great date with i Serie B results: Saturday 6 April, after the anticipation of the San Nicola, the program of the 32nd day which presents us with eight matches, five of which will start at 2.00 pm and three which are at 4.15 pm, remembering that the round will end at the Del Duca with Monday Night. SERIES B RESULTS: SITUATION AND CONTEXT
