Liguria. Agri-food, tourism, construction and logistics. These are the four sectors most present in Liguria in numerical terms. This is stated by the permanent Istat census referring to the number of companies with at least three employees in 2022, which analyzes the data of the production chains in the area in the previous year.

“These data confirm the growth of the Ligurian economy, which also in 2023 saw an increase in GDP, employment, per capita income, exports, the number of VAT numbers, public investments – declares the president of the Liguria Region – . At the same time, the redundancy fund, the unemployed and the NEETs, the young people who do not study or work, have decreased in our region”.

“The numbers for agri-food and tourism in particular are good, two sectors on which we are focusing a lot and which are giving us great satisfaction with over 16 million visitors recorded last year, also thanks to the promotional campaigns we have put in place, linked precisely to agri-food”.

“An analysis that photographs the overall scope of the Ligurian economy: the over 27 thousand Ligurian companies generate more than 278 thousand jobs and 13.4 billion euros of added value. Important numbers in which the agri-food sectors (over 6 thousand companies), tourism and leisure (around 4 thousand), construction (more than 3700) and logistics (almost 2500) take on greater importance. Without forgetting the industrial vocation which still today represents an essential pillar of our economy, as well as an important employment guarantee, which we intend to safeguard and develop towards new future scenarios” underlines the regional councilor for economic development.

“The Liguria Region, in continuity with what has been done in recent years, will continue to defend the skills of our economic fabric and accelerate the growth of those sectors which, more than others, may see us as protagonists in the near future”.
