EASTER MONDAY 2024 IN THE RAIN: THEMED (IRONIC) GREETING PHRASES
After the long and delicious Easter lunch, we go into the wait Easter Monday, the day that more than all the other 364 of the year is associated in the collective imagination with the first spring suns that allow you to bring out the grills, fresh beers and your lifelong friends! Yet, for years now the truth has been very different and for many of you (including us) it will be enough to look out the window to realize that, perhaps, the grill will have to remain covered for another day.
However, whether grilled or not, whether it’s rain or shine, it’s important that this Easter Monday, while having fun with friends, you don’t forget to wish your relatives a happy birthday, today too exhausted from yesterday’s lunch to celebrate. And so, as they say, a virtue of necessity and to laugh and play down the ‘misfortune’ of bad weatherin looking for phrases that you readers can use as greetings (and which we include in this article), we decided to choose them with a rain theme, such as: “Christmas with your parents and Easter Monday with the rain“. On the other hand, if we were on the other side, or among those too tired to celebrate outdoors, we could try to reduce the tension a little by looking at the positive side: “May it be a sunny day, not so much outside but inside you. May smiles be a source of light and may friendship and shared gestures transform into a charge of lasting energy. Good pasquetta!“.

Let’s stop, however, thinking about the rain that is falling heavily this Easter Monday, and continuing to maintain that friendly spirit mentioned earlier, let’s continue our journey through the greeting phrases with some that will adapt very well to those who (like it or not) will stay at home today. “Easter Monday: many would have liked to take the usual trip out of town, but they ate so much that they couldn’t afford it” is definitely a great place to start; followed by the equally nice “I love outdoor family picnics, the only annoyance is all those crumbs on the doormat“.
But the greetings obviously don’t end here, because some anonymous person on the web has described the perfect Easter Monday routine (at least for the many who today prefer to rest, with the fixed thought that work is ever closer), which could easily be reused for greetings: “Open the door, go down the stairs, open the bin, throw away the waste bag, go up the stairs, close the door. Here’s my trip out of town!”.
