In recent days some worrying rumors have spread about the future of Inter. For some time now, Inter ownership, headed by the Zhang family, has a debt of approximately 365 million euros to the American Oaktree Fund. Money that the investment fund had lent to the Nerazzurri owners for the ordinary management of the club.
Steven Zhang asked for more time to settle this debt, but the Fund no longer seems able to accept the guarantees given to him by his interlocutors. The story is tangled and could see some surprises soon. There are two paths: either the fund, a bit like what happened to Milan at the time of the Elliott Fund, decides to take the reins of the club, or it will give the possibility of refinancing the debt, accepting Steven Zhang’s conditions.
In any case, however, despite the now certain Scudetto and qualification for the Club World Cup in the summer of 2025, it will be another complicated summer session for the Nerazzurri managers, so far very good at keeping Inter competitive, indeed at making it even stronger year after year.

Inter market, Marotta’s next moves
Marotta and Ausilio, for their part, they have already moved well in advance, continuing to act from the point of view of the philosophy of zero parameters. We are talking about Denzel Dumfries, a right winger who arrived at Inter in the summer of 2021 for around 15 million euros and to replace the departing Hakimi. The Dutch footballer has had some good seasons in the past, but this year he was one of the few players in the Nerazzurri squad to disappoint expectations a bit so much so that he lost his place to Matteo Darmian.
Dumfries also he has a contract expiring in June 2025 and negotiations for its renewal have stalled. The Dutchman has admirers especially in the Premier League and it is there that Marotta hopes to sell him to earn as much as possible. At the moment his valuation is around 30-35 million euros, but a possible good European Championship with his national team could further increase the price.
