Fermo, 4 May 2024 – Clashes And tension at Lido Tre Archi between police and some members of the Tunisian clan that controls the drug market on the coast. In the end the budget was an injured officer and an arrest. The dramatic events took place the day before last when a fire broke out in the populous Fermo neighborhood blitz by men from the police station following numerous reports received from residents regarding various suspicious movements linked to the sale of narcotic substances.
It may be because, perhaps, the policemen broke the pusher’s basket that there was an immediate hostile reaction to the policemen’s checks and their request for documents. At that point the situation became tense and some members of the gang began to utter provocative phrases and threats towards the policemen, until a real brawl broke out and three of the North Africans fled to avoid being searched.
One of these, a 28 year old Tunisianduring the chase he attacked the officer who was trying to stop him, hurting him. Then he is thrown into the crowd to avoid being captured, shouldering some passers-by in order to create an opening. Shortly afterwards, however, his escape ended when he was finally blocked, handcuffed and arrested. Despite his strong resistance, the 28-year-old was taken to an official car, but once inside, in anger at his capture, he the glass of the vehicle was broken.
The young man, defended bylawyer Giuliano Giordani, was taken to the police station and yesterday morning he appeared before the judge of the Fermo court to validate the arrest. The arrest was confirmed even though the 28-year-old was simply ordered to stay. The injured officer was instead transported to the emergency room where, after initial treatment and the usual tests, he was found to have injuries that could be healed in seven days. The checks at Lido Tre Archi continued with the help of drug detection dogs who, in some outdoor hideouts, found quantities of narcotic substances such as heroin, cocaine and hashish. It is probable that the resistance to the verification activities by the members of the clan could be linked precisely to the desire to stall and then make the drugs disappear.
