A true clash of titans, the one organized by Motorcity Produzioni to celebrate 20 years since the release of “Quale Destino Per Noi…” by Banda Del Rione, a record that many still consider iconic for its genre.
Wrangler, Always Worse, Nabat, Pretest, Klasse Kriminale, Gli Ultimi,
Plakkaggio and Azione Diretta: eight groups – representing the best of street-punk of yesterday, today and tomorrow – who will divide the eight tracks, reinterpreting the sound and the demands of Turin in the early 2000s.
It seems impossible but over 20 years have already passed since Eugy & co published together with Oi! Strike of Rome, this bomb that overwhelmed and shocked the Italian scene, influencing and determining the way punk was written and played in the Italy of those years.
“In the autumn of 2003 I was just over 20 years old, while today I am just over 40” – comments Eugy. “This idea was born to relaunch a series of songs that after years still seem tremendously current and to put a point between the infinite lines of my thoughts, about a story that could still tell me and give me a lot, but which unfortunately is over. Quale Destino Per Noi turns 20 and I have chosen to celebrate this important milestone with this LP. The heroes and friends of a lifetime participate in this album, whom I personally want to thank. This album will be a beautiful everything in the past that I would like to pick up again in another 20 years and listen to again with a hint of pride and nostalgia.”
On the cover we find an old flyer that a very young Zerocalcare decided to draw when Banda Del Rione broke up. The release of the album is scheduled for May in vinyl and digital format, while pre-orders will be available as early as April
