BOLZANO. Dramatic accident this morning (25 January) atAlpe di Siusi where just before 11am two skiers fell from a chairlift. A woman Of 83 years old she died from her injuries very serious injuries to the head and chest, as well as numerous multiple fractures. Despite intensive resuscitation attempts, the woman died at the scene of the accident. Another one 55 year old woman instead she is hospitalized in serious condition at the Bolzano hospital with severe chest trauma, head and spinal injuries and a broken leg.

Dramatic accident this morning (25 January) on the Alpe di Siusi where just before 11am two skiers fell from a chairlift. An 83-year-old woman died from very serious injuries to her head and chest, as well as numerous multiple fractures. Another 55-year-old woman is hospitalized in serious condition. The accident occurred near the valley station of the Goldknopf ski lift. The two skiers would have fallen from a height of approximately seven metres.
The Aiut Alpin Dolomites and Pelikan 2 helicopters intervened on site, as did the mountain rescue and the carabinieri. At the moment it is not clear how the accident occurred, the police are investigating the circumstances.
