Without respite. The headlights ofEuropean Union are once again aimed at Applewhich only a few days ago had announced that due to the stringent rules imposed by Brussels, its new artificial intelligence (Apple Intelligence) will not arrive in Europe. At least not right away.

Not even time to analyze the consequences of this decision, when news arrives from the EU of a new investigation against the Cupertino giant.

There European Commission has in fact informed Apple of its preliminary opinion according to which the rules of theApp Store violate the Digital Markets Act (Dma), as they prevent app developers from freely directing consumers to alternative channels for offers and content. Furthermore, the Commission has launched a new non-compliance procedure – again against Apple – over concerns that its new contractual requirements for third-party app developers and app stores, including the new Core Technology Fee of Apple, are not able to guarantee effective compliance with the DMA.

The executive highlighted Apple’s three business conditions.

«None of these commercial conditions allow the developers to freely orient its customers. For example, developers may not provide pricing information within the application or otherwise communicate with their customers to promote offers available on alternative distribution channels.”
