Assassin’s Creed Shadows has removed an iconic stealth feature

With Assassin’s Creed Shadows Ubisoft has officially said goodbye to one of the most iconic features of the series, present since the first chapter and particularly appreciated by the community for defeating the guards after an illegal action.

The publisher has in fact confirmed that in the new chapter the “social stealth”or rather that feature that allowed us to hide in the crowd to appear invisible to all intents and purposes, for example by sitting on a bench or camouflaging ourselves in the middle of another group of people.

A choice that Ubisoft seems to have adopted also based on the new protagonists of Assassin’s Creed Shadows (you can pre-order it on Amazon), which will allow users to enjoy totally different gameplay experiences.

As reported by Stephen Totilo of Game Files (via DualShockers), Ubisoft points out that Naoe and Yasuke they will not be able to use this featurealthough obviously they will have many options available to silently assassinate their targets.

However, there is a big difference between the two protagonists: Naoe will remain invisible to guards by defaultunless he decides to make himself noticed by carrying out illegal actions, for example waving his sword in a crowd; Yasuke insteadfor obvious reasons, it can never really go unnoticed.

A revelation he understandably has disappointed some fansthat after Mirage they expected the return of this feature also in Shadows: evidently Ubisoft has once again decided to mix the cards on the table for Assassin’s Creed.

We’ll just have to be patient and wait for the release date to see if this new approach will actually work and find out if, in the end, it will manage to overcome the skepticism of enthusiasts.

Staying on the subject of bad news, the developers have also confirmed that, despite the possibility of boating, there will not be a true maritime open world.

Some users have also criticized the choice of Yasuke as one of its protagonists: Ubisoft decided to respond officially just a few days ago, hoping that they will give him a chance without prejudice.
