There Mercedes it has always been a very prestigious car. Of course, not everyone can afford it, but we know that luxury has to be paid for. Over the years, the Stuttgart company has stood out for some models that have literally written the history of the automobile. A bit like everyone else, the German company has also launched itself into the electric world with new cars arriving in the next few years. As we were saying, however, the Teutonic people have always winked at the customer of a certain level. It was precisely with this in mind that Manufaktur was born.
This particular division of the Mercedes Group deals with making tailor-made models for the most demanding customers. A true tailoring work that offers unique and precious cars, naturally suitable only for certain wallets. However, what is undeniable is that they are very pleasant to look at.
Color makes the difference
The German company has decided to amaze the most refined palates again with the new one Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast, which will be produced in a limited edition of just 100 examples and promises an extensive standard equipment package. The car in question was born on the basis of the SL 63 4Matic+ and has an engine that releases 585 HP, a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and variable all-wheel drive.
The real gem of this model is the color: Manufaktur kalahari gold magno. A shade that expresses its maximum potential on the outside, but which is also recalled inside the car. Underneath the car are 21-inch matte black wheels. Here too we find references to the Manufaktur kalahari gold magno in the finishing of the rims and hubcaps.
What do we find in this car
However, Mercedes has promised ample equipment, so let’s see what it’s all about. First there’s the AMG Night package for the exterior with gloss black details that include the front splitter, A-Wing cladding, mirror casings, door sill cladding and some rear skirt inserts. It doesn’t end there though because the double tailpipe fairings and the model badges are also all in black.
Then there is the aerodynamic package which includes additional flics on the wheel arches and air intakes. Additional flics on the side air vents in the rear skirt. Again, the color of these elements is glossy black. As regards the interior, however, we find elegant black Nappa seats with diamond quilting and golden stitching. The seats are multi-contour with cooling and this is a really good plus for long journeys.
Also the AMG Performance steering wheel it is made of Nappa leather and features golden stitching. On the front backrests there is also a Kalahari Manufaktur gold painted decorative element. Finally, there is a badge on the console Manufacture Golden Coast which gives a touch of uniqueness to the car. It feels like being in a real glamorous living room thanks to the central armrest which connects directly to the dashboard where a huge touch screen towers on which it is possible to manage not only the infotainment, but all aspects of the car.
