Just today, in the early afternoon, we told you about the sighting of the console version of New World and, as assumed, the official announcement arrived on the stage of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest.
The New World Aeternum trailer does not contain gameplay sequences, but a series of action scenes that anticipate some of the battles that players will soon be able to experience on the latest generation Sony and Microsoft consoles. At the moment, therefore, the specific details of this version are not known of the game and it is not clear whether there will be support for features such as cross-play to play with PC users or cross-progression, to import all the progress made in the version of the Amazon MMO already available.
As was revealed by the development team in the final stages of the video, New World Aeternum will also be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 starting from the next one October 15, 2024. Users who pre-order the digital version of the game will also be able to have access to additional content, namely the mount Azoth Stalker Wolf: it is a menacing wolf with icy eyes and protected by thick armour.
